Instructions for programming VW SHARAN 1995 TO JULY 1997 WITH INFRARED REMOTE CONTROL
Ensure all doors and windows on the vehicle are shut.
- Insert key into driver’s door lock.
- Turn the key to the unlock position 3 times ( key must be held in open position by 0.5 seconds )
- Remove the key.
The driver’s door LED will illuminate. Within 20 seconds:
- Point the key at the receiver located near the rear view mirror.
- Press and hold the lock button.
- Still pressing the lock button - press the unlock button 3 times.
- Release the lock button.
The driver’s door LED should flash to indicate correct programming.
Repeat 4 to 7 for additional remotes up to a maximum of four.
Wait 15 seconds before trying remote.
Instructions for programming VW SHARAN PRODUCED FROM 1997 TO 1999 WITH RADIO REMOTE CONTROL ( 5FA007680 and others ) :
Ensure all doors and windows on the vehicle are shut.
- Insert key into driver’s door lock.
- Turn the key to the unlock position 3 times and keep the key in the lock opening position for 5 sec.
- Remove the key.
The driver’s door LED will illuminate. Within 20 seconds:
- Press and hold the lock button.
- Still pressing the lock button - press the unlock button 3 times.
- Release the lock button.
The driver’s door LED should flash to indicate correct programming.
Repeat 4 to 7 for additional remotes up to a maximum of four.
Wait 15 seconds before trying remote.
VW SHARAN PRODUCED FROM 1999 TO 2002 ( 7M3959753, 7M3959753F and compatible ):
Ensure all doors and windows on the vehicle are shut.
- Open and close the both front windows.
- One of the key switch on the ignition and leave the key in this position.
- Get out of the car, close the door and insert second key into driver’s door lock.
- Turn the key to the unlock position 3 times ( key must be held in open position by 1 seconds ).
- Remove the key.
The driver’s door LED will illuminate. Within 20 seconds:
- Press and hold the lock button.
- Still pressing the lock button - press the unlock button 3 times.
- Release the lock button.
- Open the door with the key manually ( not via remote control )
The driver’s door LED should flash to indicate correct programming.
Repeat 4 to 7 for additional remotes up to a maximum of four.
